The Nampa Christian Trojans opened the 2021 varsity football season with a solid win over a much improved Wendell team. Landon Cheney threw for 313 yards, including 5 TD tosses of 45, 46, 36, 65 and 45 yards. Senior #2 Josh Tiersma had three of those TD grabs, while Senior #9 Simon De jong and Junior #3 Luke Knudesen each had a TD grab from Cheney. Defensively, #2 Josh Tiersma and #7 Daiden Glenn each had an interception for the Trojans.

The 40-12 win over Wendell, puts the Trojans at 1-0 on the season.
